Hi I am luueetang@luueetang, a couple of days ago, I was outside the mall parking area waiting for my wife. I have been seeing these Taxis or Cabs with their owners sitting there waiting passengers who might be interested in hailing a ride.

However, due to the existence of E-hailing platforms around the world and also in Malaysia, it is not clear why they have not adapted themselves to getting accustomed to how the we all get our rides. The pandemic has also negatively affected the tourism which is also a direct impact to the cab business.

Nowadays, with the existence of Uber and in Malaysia, Grab, it is no longer viable to get from point A to B on a Taxi. However, I do wonder, why do the owners still wait there for passengers even if there aren't any? I guess, maybe they are just in an inertia where it is too comfortable to sit there and wait. That is quite a pity in a way whenever, I see them sitting there. The E-hailing apps actually have an option for Taxis to join but maybe are quite resistant to the idea.

This is true for the world we live in nowadays, we need to constantly update and improve or one day when new technologies integrate into the new industrial era, we could be left out.
