Hi hi. It's another Sunday again. I recently went to this lovely restaurant in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. My sister invited me for a meal here. The steamboat here is pretty special. There is a separator that separates the two different soups from mixing together. On the right is the normal soup. On the right, it is super duper hot and with chili oil. I am not a fan of chili oil. The spiciness level is sometimes unbearable.

The steamboat

Do you enjoy eating steamboat? At Shu Da Xia, one of the things that all customers have to do here is cooking the food by themselves.

SHU DA XIA hotpot

If you ever visit Miri, this is one of the places that you have to try out. This restaurant took a long time to create. I guess, the owner is a perfectionist. As you walk into this restaurant, you'll be taken in by the beautiful architecture.

The entrance looks like a movie set for an ancient Chinese movie. Yes, that's what I felt as I walk into the restaurant. This is my second visit to this restaurant. The price here is quite high.

This restaurant is built to perfection. Everything here matches the theme. The ancient Chinese theme.

Some beacon

These are raw bacon. I am not a real fan of bacon. The pot is constantly being boiled. The bacon here looks nicely cut into slim pieces. Some meatballs are nicely rolled into balls. These are all raw and none of them are cooked. So the only way to cook them is to put them into the boiling soup.

The meatball

Delicious meatballs.

Some dumplings

I don't know how did the chef here deal with the dumplings.

Some more neatly cut bacon slices.

These are some of the nicest-cut bacon out there. I've never seen bacon that is cut so neatly.

Everything goes in here. Usually, after about twenty minutes of waiting, the food gets cooked. I guess one of the best experiences here is to see the food cook.

Their special drink

I did not try this drink although it looks quite pleasing on the outside.

The meatballs just look so cute.

The staff here does a good job of serving the customers. They are quite responsive and are always by the customer's side.

Some shrimps

I got myself some cooked shrimp. These shrimps are pretty chewy.

The decor is just magnificent to look at. The beautiful lanterns hang above the ceiling.

Even the stairs are nicely designed.
Some cooked noodles that I got from the boiling pot.

The good thing about eating food from the steamboat is that they are all hot.

Some more bacon.

They look edible even without cooking. But definitely, a no-no to eat them raw. Could potentially contain some unwanted stuff.

Innoki mushroom

Yummy. They are small little mushrooms. That has that super chewy texture.

Some octopus.

Octopus. Four of them.

Ribs

I hope that you enjoyed reading this post. I've had a great time eating here at this particular restaurant. Especially with my family. Have a great day.
