I have been powering up my account. Targeting 1000 HP, Since I've joined in July 2018, on Steemit at that time, I have been cashing out everytime, my Hive Power reaches above 800 HP. I had to do that to pay off some of my expenses as I was starting out to become self employed, finding ways to earn cash without having to find a full time job. It was 2017. That was a really tough year. Fast forward. 2021, It's currently my fourth year self employed with some part time stuff going on and full time crypto investing.
I have also invested some of the Hive I have earned earlier in time into Ethereum in March 2020. Hive is growing well as a community and also the blockchain is seeing lots of growth. My Hive Power is heading towards 900 very soon. Another 100 and my Hive power reaches 1000 HP.
Still a long way to go but I will be working hard to get to hopefully 10K HP some day.
The Power of Compounding
This is easy yet hard. Temptations are every where. For the last one year and the half, everything I've earnt in Crypto has been mostly kept in tact and I had to keep some of my deep desires in tact. Every single cent that I use to purchase things that would probably at some time in the future depreciate, could have been reinvested and then compounded. When I was still in University, I learnt one phrase that still lingers deep in my mind till this day.
A dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow
So we have to invest in things that appreciate in value and if it could compound, it would be even a better deal.
