Hi hi.. all hivers. It's a Thursday again. I know @justinparke, your gonna love this post. Hahaha.. Since Jackfruit is your favourite. This is a post about Jackfruit that was harvested from my mom in law's house in Brunei.
Delicious yellow Jackfruit fruits. Not usually easy to get even a jackfruit. Usually, they fruit a couple of times only yearly. It has that smell that some may not really like. My wife isn't too fancy on Jackfruits. I love to eat the Jackfruit.
How it is opened?
My mom in law and I were busy cutting this. This is what a Jackfruit looks like. The first thing is to get some gloves. Cover the hands from latex. It is super duper sticky. If you don't wear a pair of gloves while opening this fruit, you'll have a hard time cleaning the latex off later. The last time I opened one without gloves. I had to go to YouTube to find out how.
Oil and Soap combined. Yes. OIL.
So she cut it into four quarters. I got two quarters of it.
Hand plucked all the fruit out. One jackfruit roughly yields up to 30 to 40 fruits. Somewhere there.
These are already cleaned by hand.
It took a while to get to this. No washing needed. Just pluck them out, clean them and there you have them.
The perfectly shaped ones go into this plastic bag.
These are what those perfect. Symmetrical. Golden yellow colour. I usually remove the seeds so later I don't have to use my teeth and bite them out.
Do they look yummy?
Have you eaten Jackfruit before?
Hope that your going to have a great day.
