Yesterday, I had an online meeting and planned to take it from a coworking space, but I was running late and had to go into a nearby Starbucks.

I'm not a fan of Starbucks' offerings when it comes to drinks and pastries. Everything tastes overly processed to me—the flavors don’t feel natural, and the excessive sugar is just too much for me.

Beyond not enjoying their menu, I feel like Starbucks offers a comfortable space for remote work at a low cost. When I arrived, I thought it was a small place; I hadn’t realized it had two floors. I ordered a chai tea, a blueberry muffin, and went upstairs with my laptop, where I found around 20 people also working remotely.

The muffin didn’t taste great, especially compared to the same muffin sold at Juan Valdez (Colombia’s version of Starbucks). I also tried a lemon pound cake, which tasted WAY too artificial. I think one of the benefits of being Latin American is enjoying natural flavors and being used to them. Artificial flavors just don’t appeal to me; I’d rather avoid them. Ayer tenía una reunión online y planeaba tenerla en un coworking, pero se me hizo tarde y tuve que entrar a un Starbucks que estaba cerca de donde me encontraba.

No soy fan de lo que ofrece Starbucks en cuanto a bebidas y postres, siento que todo sabe muy industrializado, los sabores no se sienten naturales y el exceso de azúcar es too much for me.

Más allá de que no me guste su menú, siento que brinda un espacio confortable para teletrabajar a un bajo costo. Al llegar pensé que era un espacio pequeño, no me había dado cuenta de que tenía dos pisos. Compré un té Chai, un muffin de arándanos y subí con mi laptop para encontrarme con unas 20 personas que al igual que yo, buscaban un espacio para teletrabajar.

El muffin no tenía un buen sabor, comparándolo con el mismo muffin pero vendido en Juan Valdez (La versión colombiana de Starbucks). También probé un ponqué de limón y sabía DEMASIADO artificial. Creo que uno de los beneficios de ser latinoamericana es poder disfrutar de sabores naturales y estar acostumbrada a eso, lo artificial no me llama para nada la atención, prefiero evitarlo, aunque volvería a Starbucks solo por el espacio para teletrabajadores 😂 ¿Ya han visitado Starbucks?
