Enjoying a wonderful day [ENG/ESP]

Hello, friends. This week I had the opportunity to be at the birthday party of the daughter of some friends who are practically family to me. It was a pretty relaxed time, without much fuss, but we had a great time. My little girl had a great time dancing and playing flip the chair and hide and seek.

Hola, amigos. Esta semana tuve la oportunidad de estar en la fiesta de cumpleaños de la hija de unos amigos que son prácticamente familia para mí. Fue un momento bastante relajado, sin tanto alboroto, pero nos la pasamos muy agradable. Mi niña se la pasó de lo lindo echando unos bailes y jugando a darle la vuelta a las silla y al chuche escondido.

The food here was crazy. For me the desserts and the food was great. In the afternoon, there was a picakake, as we call it here. There was a small toast with a beautiful cake, croquettes, candies and a cold salad that was delicious. The cake was just the way I like it, with lots of meringue, a real feast. Don't tell my wife, but I repeated twice. And that salad, what can I say, with a good amount of pineapple, just the way I like it.

Acá la comida fue toda una locura. Para mí los postres y la comida fue grandiosa. Por la tarde, se realizó un picakake, como le decimos acá. Se hiso un pequeño brindis donde había un hermoso cake, croquetas, caramelos y una ensalada fría que estaba buenísima. El cake estaba como a mí me gusta, bien sobrado de merengue, todo un festín. No le digan a mi esposa, pero repetí dos veces. Y esa ensalada, qué les digo, con su buena cantidad de piña, justo como me gusta.

But that's not all, for dinner they had a surprise in store for us: imperial rice, my friends. A delicacy that was not only finger-licking good, but also looked spectacular. They had decorated it with some tomato flowers and onion slices that gave it a super elegant touch.

Pero eso no es todo, para la cena nos tenían una sorpresa guardada: arroz imperial, amiguitos. Una delicia que no solo estaba para chuparse los dedos, sino que además lucía espectacular. Lo habían adornado con unas florecitas hechas de tomate y unas rodajas de cebolla que le daban un toque súper elegante.

This was a luxury day, one of those that remain engraved in the memory. One of those moments that you can't wait to continue enjoying. I'm sure I'm not the only one who went overboard with the picakake.

Este fue un día de lujo, de esos que quedan grabados en la memoria. De esos momentos que se te hace corto el tiempo y te gustaría seguir disfrutando. Seguro que no soy el único que se ha pasado con el picakake.
