como el sueño de un viernes idealizando un sábado pasajero;
cómo la mente justifica, de alguna forma, que aún valgas;

A World in My Mind
A world in my mind:
no pressure, no love, no inspiration,
with the temptation of perdition.
Inert, floating my mind, bordering on madness,
tempting fate.
A time without seeing you...
I don't miss reading, I miss the way my mind works when having you:
genuine inspiration from a past without memories,
built from the verb of the present.
Yearning wandering thought,
like a sad child who incessantly longs for
the candy he has never tasted before.
An ephemeral construction of ignorant memory,
supported by a restless, thinking mind.
We build realities that never happened,
like the dream of a Friday idealizing a fleeting Saturday;
the worker's dream on a January first,
who longs for some change from being a laborer.
Difficult to explain with reasons and words
how the mind justifies, somehow, that you are still worth it;
how it finds nooks, passageways, and excuses
to place, in that corner, the figure of your blouse.
The truth of the matter is that I know my own mind,
like a riddle built by a madman.
I know the traps and the temptations,
I know the relapses and also the reasons.
But, even though there are still signs at the intersections,
people keep crashing on different occasions.
The human mind does not respect instructions
and, the more you tell it not to and press it...
