‘Kalbi’ is a Korean style short rib - and awesome.
So, I was watching the Olympics a few days ago and thinking back to when I lived in Los Angeles (US) a number of years back and the awesome Korean BBQ joints and food stands (food trucks weren’t all that popular back then and it was harder to get liscenced to operate one) when I thought...I wanna learn something new..
..a little web surfing and a trip to the grocery store and I attempted to teach myself how to put together a random Asian (with a nod towards Korean) inspired food bowl (I dunno what else to call it..)
It’s pretty much a Korean chilli stir fry, rice, ink noodles (or a reasonable facsimile), kimchi (store bought), Kalbi short ribs and cabbage wraps.
The ribs cooked out well over an open fire and everything else worked out just fine.
The only reason I’m making this a post (as it is not my usual content - by a stretch, lol), is to say - If you’re really thinking about something that is attainable and would make the quality of your day better..get up and go get it!
There are a million reasons you can make up not to. I make them up all the time. But ultimately, you are (for the most part) the only person interested in making your days a little brighter.
When you’re happier, you can make others happier with little effort and the dividends are exponential.
...plus the ribs ROCKED!
Had to let you know.
