He wasn't like the other boys
Their action figures weren't his kind of toys

All the Colours he loved were bright
Anything that didn't shine, didn't seem right

He wasn't on the football team
I think the violence of the game scared him

You see, all they cared about was noise
But, he couldn't do without his poise

When he walked, he swayed
And for that, he earned new names

Some said, he cared too much about his looks
And that 10 yr Olds didn't always have their nose in a book

Mom said, he'd grow out of it
Dad was too busy, trying to make ends meet

I didn't know if you knew
That his brother thought he needed to get loose

I think he might have known
That, he and the other boys weren't in the same zone

Even as I watched him grow,
I knew someday, he'd get the gold

Call it what you want to
But, he just wasn't like the other boys.
