From a very young age I learned to listen. To analyze what led certain people to say or express certain skills.
I understood that sometimes people who say that other people's dreams are "impossible" are just the ones who, for some reason, couldn't fulfill their own.
That people who try too hard to be seen, and fantasize all the time about recognition, a medal, or an award, is because they didn't have much attention from anyone in the past.
That envy is like the feeling of choosing the wrong flavor of ice cream, seeing others around you happy with theirs, and thinking "I wish I had that flavor" even though you don't know how it tastes.
Because many times without knowing who we are, or what we want, we desire what others have, and that it seems, they have without effort.
That's why every time I see someone externalizing something about you, my frequent question is: Who are you comparing yourself to?
Who are you supposed to be trying to keep up with the fast pace of things? That has you exhausted trying to be in everything... Who are you trying to prove it to? Because I assure you that that person is not looking around, and what led him to be where he is, was the entire process of self-knowledge.
Know yourself so much that you don't have to be on anyone's heels, nor are you bothered by other people's success. Get to know yourself until one day you make your own path.
