So I was going through pictures on my computer and forgot I saved these last year after watching Gasland. Have you ever heard of fracking? You may have heard the name thrown around before. Well last year, I stumbled upon this very informative and insightful documentary called Gasland, which is all about fracking.
So what is fracking you might ask? Well, in simplest terms, its a technique to extract natural gas. However, it has proven many times to actually do more harm. The biggest problem is that it's contaminating the water we drink, use to wash our clothes, our lawn, our dishes, etc.
so why are they still fracking?
a: the biggest reason is because of the big $$$$$ behind it.
Q: what can I do to help?
A: Start by bringing your awareness to fracking and educating yourself on what it is so that you can then spread the message.
I strongly recommend watching Gasland I and II. They are both informative and made by a man from Pennsylvania who found himself directly affected by fracking. He then went on a mission to find out what it is and why they are doing it. Of course there is a lot of info on the web, but please discern the truth for yourself.
