Hello Ladies of hive...
this week's promt fit naturally into one deeper post about resilience, self-worth, and finding courage in difficult season. So, I'll answer the two.
1️⃣ HOW DO YOU FIND THE STRENGTH TO KEEP MOVING FORWARD WHEN THE WORLD TRIES TO MAKE YOU FEEL SMALL?
Well, for me , I keep moving and remind myself that the world's opinion of me is not the measure of my worth.
I understand that some people will underestimate, overlook me, or make me feel like I am not enough. But their inability to see my value doesn't make my value disappear.
I refuse to give up on the person I am becoming.
And sometimes, I move forward not because I am fearless, but because I have decided that my future deserves a chance.
I don't have to be loud to be strong.I don't have to prove everyone wrong.I just have to keep becoming.
I don't care about what the world says about me.
I do me, the world will adjust.
I may be struggling, but I am not worthless.
I may be behind, but I am not finished.
I may be unnoticed, but I am not insignificant.
I keep going.
I keep learning.
I keep becoming.
And most importantly, I keep growing even when nobody is clapping yet.
Because sometimes the strongest thing you can do is look at everything trying to break your confidence and say:
“I'm still here.”
2️⃣ WHEN LIFE CHALLENGES YOU , WHERE DO YOU FIND THE COURAGE TO STAND BACK UP AND KEEP GOING?
Life has a way of testing me when I least expect it.
Sometimes, I look at everything happening around me and wonder, “How am I supposed to get through this one too?” In Nigeria, where you can wake up with plans and suddenly have to adjust because of the price of food, transportation, bills, or an unexpected problem, resilience is almost a survival skill.
But when life knocks me down, where do I find the courage to stand back up?
I find it within myself.
I remind myself of the challenges I have already survived. There were moments I thought I wouldn't make it through, yet somehow, I did. Those experiences remind me that today's problem is not necessarily the end of my story.
I tell myself; this too shall pass away.
"Tough times, they say never lasts, but tough people do"
I also find strength in my faith, in prayer, and in the people who genuinely care about me.
I have learned that I don't always need to know exactly how everything will work out. I just need enough courage to take the next step.
So, when life challenges me, I breathe, I pray, I reflect, and I keep moving.
Because I may bend, I may stumble, and I may even fall...
but I refuse to believe that falling means I have to stay down.
So, what keeps you moving when life tries to make you feel small; and where do you find the courage to stand back up when you're knocked down?
I'd love to hear your story.
Thanks for stopping by 😊
