SPSFlow has two updates: referrals for new and existing users, and payout routing so you can choose where your payouts go.

Choose where your payouts go

You can now choose a different Splinterlands account to receive your SPSFlow payouts. One chosen destination receives both your regular rewards and any referral commissions you earn. Your own account is the default.

Open https://splintertools.com/spsflow, sign in with the account earning the rewards or commissions, and use Payout routing. Enter the destination, review the change, and confirm through Hive Keychain using that source account's Active key.

A successful Keychain submission is not yet an accepted change. Wait for the dashboard to show the new route as confirmed.

The change applies to future payments. Payments already prepared keep their original recipient, even if they need to be retried. Changing the route does not redirect payments already in progress or change historical payments.

Referral commissions still require manual operator approval before payout.

Referrals for new and existing users

SPSFlow referrals give you a share of the service fee when someone you refer routes rewards through SPSFlow. The referred account also gets a welcome fee for one calendar month, with any lower loyalty fee preserved.

New and existing users can participate. There is no account-age or SPSFlow activity-age limit for registering your first referrer.

What the referrer earns

For six calendar months, the referrer earns 20% of the fee SPSFlow actually collects on the referred account's eligible future routed rewards.

For example, if the referred account routes 100 SPS at a 3% service fee:

  • The service fee is 3 SPS.
  • The referrer's share is 20% of that fee, or 0.6 SPS.

The 20% comes from the collected service fee. A lower fee means a smaller referral reward for the same amount of SPS routed. The account's actual fee applies.

SPSFlow referral reward example: 100 SPS routed, 3 SPS service fee, 0.6 SPS referrer share

The welcome fee and benefit windows

The welcome fee is 2.75% for one calendar month. If the account's loyalty fee is already lower, that lower rate wins.

Both the one-calendar-month welcome window and the six-calendar-month commission window start at the later of the finalized referral confirmation and the account's recorded SPSFlow service enrollment. Confirmation uses the timestamp of the finalized on-chain block. Enrollment uses the service's recorded start time; it is not the Hive account's creation date or a referral-link visit.

Only eligible income earned from that benefit start qualifies. Previous rewards and payments are unchanged; there is no past-payment backfill.

Who can accept a referral

Anyone without an accepted referrer can confirm their first referral, including long-standing SPSFlow users. Reciprocal referrals are allowed: two accounts may each choose the other as their referrer. Each pairing earns only on its referred account's collected service fees; referral commission does not generate another commission.

Self-referrals are rejected. For a new referral, the referrer also cannot be the referred account's current confirmed payout destination. Later payout-routing changes do not switch or restart an accepted referral.

Each account keeps one accepted referrer permanently. It cannot switch referrers or restart its benefit windows, including after inactivity or expiry. Existing accepted referrals and their original windows remain unchanged.

If an earlier confirmation was rejected under the former signup-age rule, submit a fresh confirmation. The historical rejection remains recorded; it is not automatically retried or converted into an accepted referral.

How confirmation works

Opening a referral link alone does not complete signup. The referred account confirms through Hive Keychain, signing the spsflow_referral operation with Posting authority.

SPSFlow checks the finalized on-chain operation before accepting the referral. A successful Keychain submission means the operation was submitted, not that the worker has already accepted it.

Tracking and payouts

The Referrals tab shows your referrer, confirmed referrals, and the end dates of the referral windows. It does not currently show an earnings balance.

Referral rewards accrue automatically.

During the initial rollout, referral payouts are held for manual review. We’re aiming to move to automatic payouts after the first month, once those checks are complete. There is no fixed payout schedule or promised turnaround time. Transfer precision is 0.001 SPS; smaller amounts are retained rather than discarded.

An accepted referral and accrued rewards do not mean a commission payout has already been sent. This manual approval applies to referral commissions; regular SPSFlow reward payouts keep their existing process.

To get your referral link, open https://splintertools.com/spsflow, sign in, and copy it from the Referrals tab.
