Creating this interpretation was quite a challenge, but also a lot of fun. I imagined the dragon as a powerful and elegant figure, with vibrant red hair that flows like fire. I wanted his presence to be striking, so I added two horns emerging from his head, giving him a mythical and fierce touch. His eyes, large and expressive, contrast in a deep blue, which stands out amidst the warm and fiery palette of the rest of the piece.
Her outfit is inspired by oriental aesthetics, with details that evoke a mix of tradition and elemental power. The white dress, with red and gold details, plays with the idea of the purity of fire and the royalty of dragons. The small wings emerging from her forearms add a unique touch that fuses the human and the fantastic.
What I like most about this work is the festive atmosphere I managed to create with floating lanterns in the background, as if the dragoness was in the middle of a magical celebration. The warm lights not only enhance the central figure, but envelop the whole scene in an atmosphere of energy and movement.

Crear esta interpretaci贸n fue todo un desaf铆o, pero tambi茅n muy divertido. Imagin茅 al drag贸n como una figura poderosa y elegante, con un cabello rojo vibrante que fluye como si fuera fuego. Quise que su presencia fuera impactante, por eso a帽ad铆 dos cuernos que emergen de su cabeza, d谩ndole un toque m铆tico y feroz. Sus ojos, grandes y expresivos, contrastan en un azul profundo, que resalta en medio de la paleta c谩lida y ardiente del resto de la pieza.
Su atuendo est谩 inspirado en la est茅tica oriental, con detalles que evocan una mezcla de tradici贸n y poder elemental. El vestido blanco, con detalles rojos y dorados, juega con la idea de la pureza del fuego y la realeza de los dragones. Dressed in traditional robes reflecting her heritage, Kaelara became the protector of her people, using her magic to defend them from threats and keep the peace. The lanterns that light her path are a tribute to the ancient guardians, each containing a spark of her ancestral power. With eyes that reflect the serenity of water and the fury of fire, Kaelara is a legendary figure, respected and feared, whose destiny is intertwined with the fiery heart of Ignis.

The process of creating this fan art was an incredibly enriching experience, as it usually is every time I start a new digital project. It all started with a sketch where I tried to capture the essence of this female version of the fire dragon. At this stage, the key was to shape the proportions, draw the master lines and define the poses and expressions that would convey power and elegance at the same time. My initial goal was to sketch the right pose and work on the most important details, such as the horns and wings, elements that highlight its mythical nature.
Once satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to outlining, which is where the art begins to come to life. With more defined and precise lines, I worked carefully so that the more intricate details, such as the hair and the design of the outfit, had a smooth and natural flow. Here it is important to be patient, as the outline defines the final structure of the character, and any small decision can change the impression you want to convey.
With the lines already established, it was time for coloring, which is probably my favorite stage. Being a fire dragon, I knew I had to play with a warm and vibrant palette, so I opted for intense reds, oranges and golds. The colors not only had to represent the warmth and power of fire, but also make the character have a striking presence. I layered the hair in several shades of reds and oranges to simulate the texture of living flames, while the gold details on the costume added a touch of royalty.
After the base color was ready, I started applying shadows. Here, the goal was to give depth to the character, making it feel three-dimensional. By using darker shadows in strategic areas, such as under the chin, around the horns and in the folds of the outfit, I achieved a contrast that helped highlight the most important parts of the design. This step always allows me to experiment with light, and I love how small variations in shadows can transform a flat figure into something full of life.
Finally, came the glitter stage, where everything takes on a special glow. The sparkles add that magical touch, as if the dragon is bathed in fire or surrounded by mystical energy. I used sparkles in her hair, giving her an almost flaming look, and added highlights on the edges of the costume to bring out the gold and deep reds. The finishing of the wings and eyes was crucial to achieve that shiny and majestic effect that makes the character stand out.
The end result is a work that fuses the strength of a fire dragon with feminine elegance, all wrapped up in an anime style that, as always, left me very satisfied.
El proceso de creaci贸n de este fan art fue una experiencia incre铆blemente enriquecedora, como suele ser cada vez que comienzo un nuevo proyecto digital. Todo empez贸 con un boceto donde intent茅 capturar la esencia de esta versi贸n femenina del drag贸n de fuego. En esta etapa, la clave fue darle forma a las proporciones, trazar las l铆neas maestras y definir las poses y expresiones que transmitir铆an poder y elegancia al mismo tiempo. Mi objetivo inicial era esbozar la postura adecuada y trabajar en los detalles m谩s importantes, como los cuernos y las alas, elementos que resaltan su naturaleza m铆tica.
Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, pas茅 al delineado, que es donde el arte comienza a cobrar vida. Con l铆neas m谩s definidas y precisas, trabaj茅 con cuidado para que los detalles m谩s intrincados, como el cabello y el dise帽o del atuendo, tuvieran un flujo suave y natural. Aqu铆 es importante ser paciente, ya que el delineado define la estructura final del personaje, y cualquier peque帽a decisi贸n puede cambiar la impresi贸n que se desea transmitir.
Con las l铆neas ya establecidas, lleg贸 el momento del coloreado, que es probablemente mi etapa favorita. Al tratarse de un drag贸n de fuego, sab铆a que deb铆a jugar con una paleta c谩lida y vibrante, as铆 que opt茅 por rojos, naranjas y dorados intensos. Los colores no solo deb铆an representar el calor y el poder del fuego, sino tambi茅n hacer que el personaje tuviera una presencia impactante. El cabello lo trabaj茅 en varias capas de tonos rojos y naranjas para simular la textura de llamas vivas, mientras que los detalles dorados en el traje le a帽adieron un toque de realeza.
Despu茅s de que el color base estuvo listo, comenc茅 a aplicar sombras. Aqu铆, el objetivo fue darle profundidad al personaje, haci茅ndolo sentir tridimensional. Al usar sombras m谩s oscuras en 谩reas estrat茅gicas, como debajo del ment贸n, alrededor de los cuernos y en los pliegues del atuendo, logr茅 un contraste que ayud贸 a destacar las partes m谩s importantes del dise帽o. Este paso siempre me permite experimentar con la luz, y me encanta c贸mo peque帽as variaciones en las sombras pueden transformar una figura plana en algo lleno de vida.
Finalmente, lleg贸 la etapa de los brillos, donde todo cobra un resplandor especial. Los brillos a帽aden ese toque m谩gico, como si la dragona estuviera ba帽ada por el fuego o rodeada de una energ铆a m铆stica. Utilic茅 destellos en su cabello, d谩ndole un aspecto casi flam铆gero, y a帽ad铆 reflejos en los bordes del traje para resaltar el oro y los rojos intensos. El acabado de las alas y los ojos fue crucial para lograr ese efecto brillante y majestuoso que hace que el personaje destaque.
El resultado final es una obra que fusiona la fuerza de un drag贸n de fuego con la elegancia femenina, todo envuelto en un estilo anime que, como siempre, me dej贸 muy satisfecha.
