Hello everyone, it's me again @lorene08 sharing you a glimpse of how I celebrated my birthday last September 30,2025.
My father decided to just celebrate my birthday simple, and it's okay with me. Growing up, I start to realized that you don't need grand celebrations to make your birthday happy and memorable. You just need the right people — those who truly matter and have a big part in your life. He told me to have a simple celebration/dinner time with my classmates at Lapyahan—eating barbecues and enjoy the breeze of the sea,I actually liked the idea of my father since Lapyahan has become our usual spot, it’s where my circle of friends and I always celebrate birthdays.
But on the day of my birthday, the rain poured heavily at the afternoon and I was so worried and overthinking if I can still celebrate my birthday at Lapyahan since it’s an open space — and if the rain doesn’t stop or gets stronger, we might all end up soaked. My mother then called and she suggested to have my birthday at La Mer(that wasn’t the place we first planned to go, but things just turned out that way).
When our last subject teacher dismissed us from class we then immediately hurried to go down to meet some of my friends from the other section.
Upon arriving at the resort, we were so mesmerized by how the resort gave off such an elegant vibe. I love how calm the sea that time even though the heavy rain just stopped.
My mother then told us to take pictures of the place and we can also take pictures by the sea. We then saw a schoolmate there and he took photos of us!!
My friends then called me and we were laughing so hard, I got a little bit emotional of how cute they are. They were playfully pushing each other because they couldn’t decide who would go first to give the gift😭😭
Not long after, the foods then arrived. We are amazed on how aesthetic they decorated the "budol fight" and it even had a rice formed into "18TH BDAY", then my mother opened the cake she bought, then my friends,my mother and her friend started singing me the birthday song. We then started digging the foods served by the resort and tbh, all of them are 10/10(most fav food served was the calamaris and the grilled meat😍😍). When we were done eating, we just had a chit chat(as if we are not classmates and schoolmates😭) and also an ice cream from my mother😍🤍
Most favorite part that night was after we had our dinner, like it was full of laughter. I love how joyful we all were that time. Some of my friends were cracking jokes, and they even made a birthday message using ChatGPT! The first version was in English, then Tagalog, and then Bisaya 😭😭 we all ended up crying from laughing so hard!
Since it was already late at night, I decided to call my father to pick us up, along with some of my friends. My other friend from Busogon also called her father. While waiting, we chatted again.
Though two hours after that celebration a big tragedy happened here in our place, I still couldn’t forget the day and night I celebrated my birthday with the people I love the most. To my parents who spent for me even if it was just a simple celebration — thank you, Mama and Papa, I love you so much. ❤️
To my friends who celebrated my day with me before the night ended, thank you so much, and also for the gifts!
And to these friends of mine, thank you as well. Some of them greeted me through social media, and some greeted me in person — I wouldn’t have been as happy on my birthday without these peps🫶🏻
Thank you for reading and see you in my next blogs!!🤍
