Lore
The Molten Ash Golems are birthed from a creature known as the Forgotten One. Created by the High Magus of the Crypteia and serving as his personal servant, the Forgotten One is a fiery beast of might and malice.
The Forgotten One's great power sometimes spills over, leaving trails of molten ash in its wake. And within these beats the strong enchantments the Magus originally put on his Forgotten One. Within a day, these piles of burning ash become sentient.
Rising from the ground and forming into loose humanoid shapes, these Molten Ash Golems have only one desire. Find their creator. They will travel the lands searching for the Forgotten One, never tiring and never needing to stop. Once reunited with their source, they serve faithfully for as long as they continue to burn.
Overview
The Fire Splinter is not my favorite amongst the other Splinters, because it is very difficult to protect their monsters. Yes they are strong, but you need to make sure that you hit first or survive the first incoming attack.
I have played a lot of games with Yodin Zaku on lower leagues, which is extremely good, but in higher leagues he is just too expensive. My second option was to hire the Dragon Splinter, which I like a lot and mix their monsters with the Fire and take advantage of their excellent monsters. ๐
Stats and abilities
| Level | Ability | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Level.1 | Close Range | Can perform ranged attacks from the first position. |
| Level.5 | Weaken | Reduces the Health of all enemy Monsters by one. |
| Level.8 | Demoralize | Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Monsters by one. |
The Molten Ash Golem is a Rare Fire card, which is quite powerful thanks to his big Health โค๏ธ. He is a ranged attack card, but he is able to attack from the first position as well, which makes him an excellent off-tank.
Market price for the Molten Ash Golem
If you are going to burn and delete from the existence this Fire card, it will yield 20 DEC if it is a regular card and 500 DEC if it was a gold card. Six of the gold foil cards havs been deleted over time.
This card is a Rare card from the Chaos Legion set and the price of the regular card is quite alright for a monster with this power level. One BCX of this card cost around 0,06 USD, so if you want a maximum level of this monster it will set you back with around 6,9 USD. ๐
The price of the regular Molten Ash Golem is more or less the same like 4 months ago and it might be a good time to hoard some up. ๐
The upcoming Battle ruleset
| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Back to Basics | Monsters lose all abilities. |
Back row monsters are safe from enemy's Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity attacks. The ruleset places importance on Magic and Ranged attacks as melee attacks loose their ability to hit outside of the first position. Select monsters with high speed and choose a summoner that increases damage or defense against Magic or Ranged attacks. Lining up monsters in ascending order of their health is the way to go.
My lineup
| Quix the Devious is a Dragon Splinter Summoner who has the ability to reduce the ranged attack damage and health of all the enemy monsters by one. Using a Dragon Splinter allows me to choose any other Splinter (in my case the Fire) to use their best creatures. ๐ | |
| Grum Flameblade is an excellent monster with amazing stats. The only problem he has is his only one speed, which is very low. In a low speed ruleset he is like a GOD. In this fight he has no other abilities and stats wise he is one of the best! ๐ | |
| In normal circumstances the Chaos Dragon will shoot behind the enemy lines, but without any abilities he will shot the enemy tank in the first position. His high health and armor allows me to use him as an off-tank in this matchup. ๐ | |
| The Djinn Inferni is like a glass cannon damage dealer, because he has low health, but high damage. If my opponent wouldn't bring Bortus he would be more deadly. The only advantage of the Back to Basics ruleset is that I don't need to worry about my backline until my front is alive. ๐ | |
| The Molten Ash Golem is also a good choice in here, because he has one of the highest health amongst the "cheap" rangers costing only six mana. ๐ | |
| The Countess Shinash plays a damage dealer role in here, because she doesn't have her speed buff and Opportunity ability. She will simply damage my opponent tank into his face. ๐ | |
| The Tinderlock would be an excellent choice if I leave it as the last monster in my backline, because he has the Last Stand ability, which will increase his stats if he is the last creature left in the battlefield. In Back to Basics he is just a damage dealer as well who attack for three. ๐ค |
The Battle

The Back to Basics ruleset is one of the simplest in the game especially if it is not mixed with another ruleset liek in my case. The most important thing is to use the highest health monsters at the front to try to soak as much as damage as they can without dying.
My opponent brought five magic damage dealers and only one ranged attack creature. If I would bring the same with Kelya I surely lose this matchup, because Bortus is removing one magic damage from all of my magic attack creatures. ๐ฒ
Luckily I used a different strategy where my main goal was to bring more health pool and damage than my opponent.
| Total | Lorddiablo | Kosar1 |
|---|---|---|
| Health Pool โค๏ธ | 48 | 40 |
| Armor ๐ก | 9 | 1 |
| Damage โ๏ธ | 17 | 14 |
As you can see my stats were superior than my opponent's, so the win was inevitable for me. ๐
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked as it should, because my higher stats decided the match before the fight has even begun. The only change I would do is to swap my Countess with the Tinderlock to use the higher health monsters in the front. ๐
Battle Result
My Quix reduced the speed of all the enemy monsters, which allowed me to attack quicker than my opponent monsters. By the time he killed my tank I have managed to destroy three of their monsters thanks to my higher damage and basic health. ๐
Do you like the Molten Ash Golem? Why or why not?
I always liked this monster, because of his ability to shoot from the first position and high health. With Yodin he is an absolute beast, because he will take advantage of the Blast ability, but I didn't use him long time. ๐
