Molten Elemental Breakdown | A 9-Mana Fire Card with Both Melee and Ranged Attacks
Hello fellow warriors! Trust you are all doing well and having a great day.
Today I want to share a breakdown of an Epic Fire monster called Molten Elemental. This 9-mana card is very unique because it carries BOTH melee and ranged attacks on the exact same monster! Plus, it starts with two really great abilities right from level 1.
Let’s dive into its stats, abilities, and how to use it in your Fire lineups!
Card Stats and Level Breakdown
Molten Elemental is built for double damage. Because it hits with both melee and ranged attacks in the same turn, it can chip away at enemy health very fast.
Here is how its stats grow as you level it up:
- Level 1: Starts with 2 melee attack, 2 ranged attack, 4 speed, 1 armor, and 5 health. You get two abilities right away: Flying and Close Range.
- Level 2 to 4: Melee attack increases to 3 while ranged stays at 2. Speed stays at 4, armor stays at 1, and health goes up to 6. At level 3, it unlocks its third ability (Deathblow).
- Level 5 to 6 (Max Level): At level 5, speed jumps to 5 and armor goes to 2. At level 6 (max level), it hits 4 melee attack, 2 ranged attack, 5 speed, 2 armor, and 6 health while carrying 4,830 collection power.
Understanding its Abilities
This card comes packed with abilities that give it flexibility:
- Flying (Level 1): Gives this monster a +25% chance to dodge incoming melee and ranged attacks from enemies that do not have Flying.
- Close Range (Level 1): Allows this card to shoot its ranged attack even if it ends up sitting in the first position!
- Deathblow (Level 3): Deals double damage if the enemy team only has one monster remaining on the field.
- Lookout (Level 5): Takes reduced damage from Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity attacks.
- Incendiary (Level 6): Deals extra fire damage to surrounding enemy units over time.
How to Set It Up on the Battlefield
Because of Close Range and Flying, you have a lot of freedom when placing Molten Elemental:
- Any Position Works: You can place it in position 2 or 3 behind your main tank, or even in position 1 if needed, because Close Range means its ranged attack will never get blocked!
- Earthquake Ruleset: Thanks to the Flying ability, it completely avoids taking damage from the Earthquake ruleset, making it a super safe pick.
- High Mana Matches: At 9 mana, it is best used in matches with 40+ mana caps so you can afford to place a big main tank in front of it.
Final Thoughts
Molten Elemental is a fun and dangerous Fire card. Getting two types of attacks (melee + ranged) on one card gives your team extra offensive power every single round.
