Hey everyone in the DIY Community hope you are all doing well I'm doing good. This is my DIY ant proof food bowl. Everyone who owns a cat or dog has most likely had a problem with ants getting into the food like this.

Me and my mom looked at so many shops trying to find a cat food bowl that would stop the ants but had no luck so I disided to try and make my own and they are working very well.

Step by step instructions

Now let me show you how u can make one for yourself.
First you will need a plastic pet bowl and a plastic plant drip tray.
As for equipment all you need is soldering iron with a flat head.

Now place the food bowl as close to center as possible.

Then take the soldering iron and start slowly and carefully melting the bowl's plastic into the tray to start fusing theme together. But make sure not to melt to much you don't want any holes.

Once the bowl is secure you can put a pit more pressure to make a bunch of small divots all the way around the bowl.

And once that is done use the flat head to go over the divots this will bind the bowl and tray strongly so it shouldn't break apart even if you step on it.

When you are happy with your work fill with water to check for any leaks and if none are found you are good to go.

And that's have you make a ant proof pet bowl thank you for checking out my DIY post and I hope this will help out other pet owners.
