Cuando estaba haciendo este llavero, confieso que no estaba yendo por donde quería. es decir, no me estaba quedando como quería, pero también me repetía: Confía en el proceso, esto también porque una vez que pegas las piezas estas se van endureciendo, se pueden recuperar pero pierde un poco su adherencia.
De igual manera este es un proceso que disfruté como todos y fue mi espacio para disfrutar de mi niña interior, a la que por supuesto integré a mi hijo menor para que me diera sus apreciaciones que fueron positivas, me expresó lo que más le gustaba de la pieza.
Aun mi familia sigue apoyando mis proyectos, aun cuando no me quedan como esperaba, siempre me dan ánimo, de hecho amé que se dieran cuenta que trato de aplicar mis estilo en el moldeado tal como lo aplicaba en mis dibujos. Hace años ya que no dibujo en mi tablet, es algo que el tiempo y las necesidades no me han permitido hacer y el facilismo de la IA junto a su rapidez ha desplazado, pero la realidad es que hacer un dibujo como una pieza de arte cual sea lleva la esencia de su creador y está hecho con amor, aun en sus imperfecciones.

When I was making this keyring, I must admit it wasn’t going quite as I’d hoped. In other words, it wasn’t turning out exactly as I’d wanted, but I kept telling myself: ‘Trust the process.’ This is also because, once you stick the pieces together, they start to harden; you can fix them, but they lose a bit of their stickiness.
Even so, this was a process I enjoyed, just like all the others, and it was my chance to tap into my inner child. I naturally involved my youngest son in the process so he could give me his thoughts – which were positive – and he told me what he liked most about the piece.
My family still supports my projects; even when they don’t turn out quite as I’d hoped, they always encourage me. In fact, I loved that they realised I try to apply my own style to the moulding just as I did in my drawings. It’s been years since I last drew on my tablet; it’s something that time and other commitments haven’t allowed me to do, and the ease and speed of AI have largely replaced it. But the reality is that creating a drawing—or any piece of art, for that matter—carries the essence of its creator and is made with love, even in its imperfections.

Moldeo la cabeza y cuerpo del pulpo consta de una bolita ala que aplanamos un poco en la base.
Para que tenga mejor soporte los tentáculos corto trozos de alambre de floristería, a las que doblo uno de los extremos.
Moldeo 7 bolitas del mismo tamaño y luego hago unos rollitos donde uno de los extremos es más ancho que el otro, coloco pegamento en el alambre y lo introduzco en el tentáculo.
Pego el tentáculo al cuerpo del pulpo, luego le doy forma.

I shape the octopus’s head and body from a small ball, which I flatten slightly at the base.
To give it better support, I cut pieces of florist’s wire for the tentacles and bend one end of each piece.
I shape 7 small balls of the same size and then make little rolls where one end is wider than the other; I apply glue to the wire and insert it into the tentacle.
I glue the tentacle to the octopus’s body, then shape it.

Así voy repitiendo el proceso en cada tentáculo hasta pegar los 7. En este punto creí que no me quedaba como esperaba, el material es blando para hacer formas específicas y que de paso no las pierda, en este punto los "empates" no los podía ver tan prolijos como quisiera.
Luego pongo el aro en la cabeza del pulpo, aplico pegamento previo y doblado en un extremo.
Hago dos bolitas blancas que forman los ojos y los pego en el cuerpo del pulpo.
Hago lo mismo con las pupilas y hago cejas para decorar. Con la herramienta hago la boca, presionando hacia adentro.

So I repeat the process on each tentacle until all seven are attached. At this point, I felt it wasn’t turning out as I’d hoped; the material is too soft to create specific shapes without them falling apart, and the ‘joints’ didn’t look as neat as I’d have liked.
I then place the ring on the octopus’s head, apply some glue beforehand and fold one end over.
I make two little white balls to form the eyes and stick them onto the octopus’s body.
I do the same with the pupils and make some eyebrows for decoration. Using the tool, I shape the mouth by pressing inwards.

Moldeo una pequeña pieza para colocarlo dentro de la boca como una lengua. de la misma forma hago los cachetes.
Con un marcador pinto las pestañas.
Para los detalles del pulpo, moldeo las bolitas suficientes para cubrir los detalles de cada una de sus tentáculos.
presionando la bolita en el tentáculo adquiere la forma y repito ese procedimiento en la cabeza.
Confié en el proceso y quedó bonito, valió la pena.
El final quedó ponerle el aro del llavero.

I mould a small piece to place inside the mouth as a tongue. I make the cheeks in the same way.
I draw the eyelashes with a marker.
For the octopus’s details, I moulded enough little balls to cover the details on each of its tentacles.
By pressing the ball onto the tentacle, it takes on the shape, and I repeated this process on the head.
I trusted the process and it turned out lovely – it was well worth it.
The final step was to attach the key ring.
