I just love this time of year - Spring just around the corner.
One can feel the earth warming up and seedlings are seen pushing their way through the soil - almost to say "here I am".
The buds on flowering trees and shrubs are swelling ready to burst into blossoms - they appear - first one, then two or three, then ten or more and I know that very soon I shall look out and see blossoms all over.
Like most gardeners, I check daily to see which of my planted seeds are emerging and every now and then I am given a surprise - volunteer plants that have popped up all on their own.
This is always a delight to see - and these plants often do better than the ones that were planted by myself - it is almost that they have chosen their own spot to grow.

Here is a tomato seedling ( I have no idea which type) together with a whole lot of parsley that have all decided to appear in a pot that had a chili plant.
It is such a lovely feeling to see this and it is one of those things that makes gardening exciting - you just never know what may pop up.
