Last night the rain came down so hard that I was afraid that my tomato plants in a container would be broken as the wind was very strong too.
However, this morning I saw that they are fine and that the stakes that I put in the other day have ensured that the plants survived the wind and rain.
These are my heirloom patio tomatoes that I have not grown before, so am very pleased that all is well.
It is so important to stake things like tomatoes and peppers if they are to grow well.
I am hoping that the worst of the rain is over and that we can look forward to some warmer weather.
My cherry tomatoes have already started to produce fruit and are looking good.
I planted quite a few tomatoes this season so am hoping that I get a good harvest.
