A simple question, but it is amazing how many people do not realize how important it is to wash your hands frequently if you want to avoid getting ill.
My children were taught to wash their hands from an early age and now as adults, they carry on with this habit.
If you do not want to get sick, be careful what you touch when you are out and about.
For myself, the following are some of my habits:
Never touch the sides of an elevator.
Use your elbows when wanting to push revolving doors.
Always wipe down supermarket trolleys with the hygiene cloths provided.
Keep wet wipes/hygiene wipes in your bag to use instead of touching water taps in rest rooms.
Wash hands when returning home after doing your grocery shopping and after you have packed everything away, wash them again.
Teach your children to wash their hands as soon as they get home from school.
These are some of my habits and I can honestly say that if more people would realize that washing hands on a regular basis would really diminish their chances of becoming ill.
It really is common sense.
