This is what I heard on the news today - that we could have a world recession within the next twelve months!
While I try not to get swamped by politics, I do listen to what is going on in the world and hearing this news today made me really stop and think about the ripple effect this would have on us all.
Those of you that read my posts will know how I encourage people to grow some food and should we go into a recession, then having a supply of food that you grow yourself will help you very much.
Prices will rise on food and many other items and you will be forever thankful that you decided to become more self sufficient.
I have twelve containers all planted up with veggies and herbs - here is a list of what is growing in them;
Spinach, swiss chard, beetroot, spring onions, peppers, chilies, rocket, corriander, radish, basil, parsley, rosemary thyme, new zealand spinach, tomatoes, oregano and peas.
Most are on going - cut and they grow more.
So, you can see that with just a few containers, you can grow food - you do not have to have a big garden - everyone can do it.
