One of the things I love about mid- late summer is the proliferation of festivals. Traverse City hosts the National Cherry Festival every year, and tonight I was able to go with a good friend of mine.
Of course, there's always tons of food. But this BBQ stand has been--to me--the epitome of what pulled pork sandwiches should be. I would gladly marry into this family just to have their food all year round. :P
And, of course, the rides! The Tilt-a-Whirl is my favorite, no question. My friend bought tickets to go on with me for a belated birthday ride. Our car spun so fast at the end that we could barely walk straight when it came to a stop. That's my kind of ride! ;)
