I seem to be peering through glass quite a bit lately; it started with a Window Shopping excursion.
Is the universe trying to tell something? Perhaps that it's time I actually stepped through that glass and started experiencing life outside the window again?
Being cooped up at home during this awful pandemic has not done me any good!
I had to visit the neurologist for a follow-up visit after Facing the Storm, and this time I noticed what was around me as we walked the long corridor from his consulting rooms, as he was more than happy that the meds he prescribed has curbed the seizures I started experiencing following my Covid vax.
Yep, I'm telling it like it is as I've done more reading on the subject and it appears to be a rare reaction with some allergy-prone people like me, although neither my GP nor the Specialist would say yay or nay to my question; both commented that they cannot tell as the medical profession still do not know enough about Covid.
The rest of my family, even 90 year old Mom Lily, have not experienced any side-effects whatsoever, so I guess I would likely be one of those who would get very ill if I had full-blown Covid, so I at least have some protection now, except I'm now stuck with a new affliction!
The most beautiful and colourful woven African artworks adorns the walls - animals, trees, birds, and flowers, and I hope all my friends here on Hive enjoy them as much as I did.
Please keep in mind that I'm peering through the framed artwork protected by glass, so there are some reflections.
I will always make time for a good cappuccino, which we stopped for after the visit to the neurologist; a gal needs a treat now and then not so!
We really take our health for granted until something like this happens, and we feel like life is fading. I like to be in control and aware of what's happening around me, and these incidents brought on extreme anxiety.
It really felt like I was falling off the face of the earth!
Blogging has helped me tremendously, and is keeping me focused, so once again Hive came to my rescue
During lockdown it helped financially, but this time it's helping mentally.
Hive has become my safe place where I can vent, learn about how people from all over the world are living their lives and simply chat with like-minded people!
Amazing how the sky changes colour at the start of the day, and then again at the end of the day. Here the sun is setting behind the clouds but as I looked left, the sky was still clear except for one golden sliver of a cloud refusing to be blown away by the strong wind. It's hiding behind a bare Leopard tree which will soon be covered in fine green leaves in summertime.
Following my little health scare, I've been listening to healing music videos on youtube.
The music I've shared below is just one of many that I find very calming, although Mozart's Sonata for Two Pianos in D major still is my bedtime lullaby as suggested by my doctor.
Enjoy this video below if you're like me and overthink everything ;)
Hubby and I are off to the central Drakensberg next week, joining our older son, so I will be stepping through that glass window and enjoying a breakaway high up in the mountains!
I hope to share my trip with you on our return.
Have a fabulous weekend friends!
