This is a chapel in the central Drakensberg mountains and I was peeking through the window to see what's inside when I saw how the outside trees and the sky reflected on the inside of the chapel; one can see the pews but it almost looks eerie and hard to differentiate between what's on the inside and what is on the outside!
This is what the chapel and its surroundings looked like, no reflections but helps one see the whole picture, I was peeking through that big window.
The reflections in these tranquil images make me aware that what is being portrayed on the outside, is not always as serene on the inside; see how the reflections become blurred in places!
Are the people inside living happy and fullfilled lives or has there been much heartache?
Calm and serene on the outside, but what goes on inside, no one really knows!
I would like to believe that life has been kind to these people and by that I don't mean riches as money cannot buy happiness, something we all need to reflect on!
These are holiday homes and I'm sure they would be filled with much laughter when family and friends visit, but the reflections will still remain hazy and not give anything away!
Faint lines of the steel suspension Umtamvuna bridge cable hangers and cross-braced double steel arch reflecting in the river that forms the border between the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu Natal Provinces.
We were on the Kwazulu Natal side and the next image shows the reflections of the lights from the small buildings across on the Eastern Cape Province side.
Reflections of another kind; a busy shopping mall with much hustle and bustle with the mirrored ceiling in this restaurant reflecting people walking upside down. Have we not all felt like that at times when life gets hectic and there's simply too many things that need doing all at the same time!
Time is a scarce commodity that money can't buy so needs to be handled with care; something I often find myself reflecting on.
Our lives are determined by the choices we make and are mirrored in reflections on how we walk through this wondrous world of ours.
