Last week, I found myself stopping in front of CHILL BAR at Starmall EDSA-Shaw. I didn’t go inside. Instead, I just took a few random photos from the outside. Yet even from that simple pause, memories began to flood back.
I imagined the times when my friends in Manila would gather for a Friday night out, laughter echoing over shared drinks, stories flowing as freely as the music. Even though I wasn’t part of those nights this time, standing there reminded me of how places can hold energy, not just for the people inside, but for anyone who remembers what those spaces mean.
It’s funny how a casual stop in front of a bar can spark such vivid reflections. Sometimes, the most ordinary encounters, a storefront, a neon sign, a snapshot, can remind us of the extraordinary bonds we’ve built with people we care about.
