Hi everyone! I maybe am too late to share this with you since Jan 1 had passed by not too long ago. But anyways, I just wanna tell you guys my New Year experience.
Here in our country, New Year (as in Jan. 1) is very special. We have a tradition here to not spent money during that day for we believed that the thriftiness on the first day of the year will augur your money management in the coming year-- simply means that during that day you have to stay put at home and not waste any money at all. 😊
BUT hardheaded as we are, we personally didn't follow the rules. And so we partake on our journey to samal island! Yaay!
At about 5:45 pm we travelled via barge.
(We didn't even mind the weather since we're all excited--look how scary the sky was. 😱)
We then excitedly and joyously continue on our journey! claps 👏👏
But then something terrible happened. AND DUDE WE'RE ALMOST STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA LIKE OMYGOD. IT WAS REALLY SCARY, TOO SCARY I'D WISH I DIDN'T LEFT HOME.
Oh sorry I got carried away. Okay let's breath joy, inhale, exhale. phew.
So it rained a lot, and the wind was too strong it made the huge barge powerless and the waves too! Omygod, that moment? I felt like I'll die already huhu. Thank God I did not. 😭😭
The rain was too powerful it made us all wet, we hadn't bathed in the sea and yet we're already too wet. Huhu it was horrible all and cold and scary and i felt like being slapped by the rain each time it went my distance.
(BEFORE THE RAIN)
(AFTER THE RAIN)
Look how messy our face and hair was. LOL. 😂
Some of the passengers called it an "adventure" but I called a "life and death situation". (Pwede ding buwis buhay).
Lesson learned: OBEY TRADITIONS. 😭😭
Even so it was worth it. 😊 I mean we've got to enjoy the beauty of samal island yet again.

(The cutie fishes 💕)
(The city lights 😍)
There was also a fireworks display! But I wasn't able to capture it since it's too far. T_T But it was really amazing to see it in person, and it will forever be embedded in my heart. ❤
I only got this:
(And it's really not clear, sorry for that. …)
Anyways, the rain passed by the day after. And the sun smiled back at us again. 😊 There I found this li'l fella taking a bath.
(Isn't she cute 😍💕)
(And another sunrise. Yaay!)
After staying a night there, we've decided to head back home the day after. The sky wasn't really healed yet, so we had no choice but to say goodbye to Samal Island again. Awww.
We took off using a barge. And took a last picture of that beautiful island where we had been.
I wish I could go back again tho. 😊😊
Why? Well, because it was worth it. 💕😊
My new year celeb might've took a u-turn for a moment but it was still worth it. 😁 Since deep down in my heart I have enjoyed it. Yaay!
Thank you for dropping by! And do have a blessed year ahead! Belated Happy New year folks! 😊😊
