❄️🍂🍄 Early WINTER WALK through BRABAZON WOODS IN SWINFORD Co. MAYO ~ IRELAND 🇮🇪
Let me show you today the beauty of BRABAZON WOODS and its hidden FAIRY VILLAGE, on an early #WINTER day in Swinford ~ IRELAND. 🇮🇪 The leaves have fallen and the temperatures are dropping fast. ❄️ What can we discover on our TRAIL today? Come along and find out 😊 and find all the hidden treasure!

Let’s start with our walk now 😁
At the entrance we see this little sign next to a playground:
The paths are covered in fallen leaves 🍂 and few remain up… but fall shortly.
Looking around we find lots of cute little details, hidden… but if you look closely you can find them. Like this #ladybug 🐞 garland around the tree 🌳
Sculptures in an area you can sit on benches and watch the world go by….
Capture from the other side. We see sunflowers, butterflies and birds.
A stunning mosaic 🥰 How many butterflies do you see?
Walking into the woods we see little houses. These are part of the #FAIRY VILLAGE 🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻🧚🏻♂️
So cute… there are many to be found. So look good around you to #discover them all.
This one has multiple levels 🍄🧚🏻
The loop around the forest is about 1km long, but there is also a path right through the middle of the forest. So you can easily extend your walk around 😊
I found this cute mushroom. 🍄🟫 It was very well hidden… but not for me as I always look at all the details around me.
The path goes up now and we follow it. The crunching of the leaves under our feet are so much fun 🤩
The path becomes smaller now 😊 you can almost not see it anymore…
Crunch crunch 🍂🍂 it was a damp and cold day 🥶 but the leaves kept crunching.
I love when winters start with beautiful warm colours around us… like I discovered in Ireland when I lived there. Winter season in IRELAND 🇮🇪 is during the months November, December and January ❄️
A big difference from all the snow I have now and winter season = SNOW cover, is from November to June ☃️
Let’s go down the path now.
These woods are stunning… one could run through them to hide easily hahaha 🤣 be a kid again… search for all the fairy houses 🏠
I found this stump and more mushrooms. These are the last ones of the season.

Let’s walk a bit further… more hidden mushrooms 🍄🟫
A cute cluster between the vegetation.
So wonderful to see more hidden treasure around us.
Like this wonderful cluster of mushrooms 🍄🟫 growing on the side of this tree.
All coming out of the same origin.
It is almost a magical forest… so much to see and find. Now I know why the FAIRIES build their VILLAGE here 😁
Wandering further we see the trees intertwined…
At the end of the loop, just before we wander out the woods again we find a last fairy house. It is a blue lighthouse.
Standing tall on this tree stump. Just look at all the details, it even has little steps up around the tall tower.
More mushrooms… these are the kind that easily survive winter in a mild climate.
With this last photo we have finished the trail through Brabazon Woods, Swinford in Ireland 🇮🇪 👋🏻
It was so much fun to walk through the woods 🤩 don’t you think?
