Happy day to the community and I hope everyone is enjoying the week. It's been days since I made a post, but today I want to share with you the sewing process of a skirt I had made, which has a pleated design on the front. 🧵
My friend liked this model very much so she asked me to make a similar one for her in royal blue gabardine fabric, come and I will show you how to make this beautiful skirt. She will use it for her meetings and for any occasion, thinking that she will also have others made in different designs and fabrics. And to accompany me in the process of this design, in the steps of each part.

Feliz día para la comunidad esperando todos estén muy bien disfrutando la semana. Hace días no hacia una publicación, pero hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el proceso de costura de una falda que había hecho, la cual tiene un diseño de pliegos en la parte del frente.
A mi amiga le gusto mucho este modelo asi que me pide el favor de poder hacer una parecida para ella en tela de gabardina en color azul rey, ven y le muestro como realice esta bella falda. Ella lo usara para sus reuniones y para cualquier ocasión, pensando también que igual mandara hacer otras en diferentes diseños y telas. Y para que me acompañes en el proceso de este diseño, en los pasos de cada parte.
MATERIALS:
1 1/2 gabardine fabric.
20 cm long zipper.
Thread, scissors, pins, sewing machine.
Desired measurements.
MATERIALES:

Cierre de 20 cm de largo.
Hilo, tijera, alfileres, maquina de coser.
Medidas deseadas.
After having the measurements of the skirt in this case is a size "L", the first thing I did was to make the design of the folds in the fabric without cutting, I was pressing it with the pins because it was easier to do so then cut and not have problems when making the cut.
I also cut a strip that goes on one side to complete the design.
Then I cut the back part leaving to place the zipper, and at the bottom an opening, to make it more like a do when walking and not have the skirt too closed.
Después de tener las medidas de la falda en este caso es una talla "L", lo primero que hice fue hacer el diseño de los pliegos en la tela sin cortar, lo fui prensando con los alfileres ya que se me hacia mas fácil hacerlo asi para luego cortar y no tener problemas al hacer el corte.
Tambien una franja que va de un lado para completar el diseño.
Luego corto la parte trasera dejando para colocar el cierre, y en la parte de abajo una abertura, para que se le haga mas como do al caminar y no tener la falda muy cerrada.
Once everything was well pressed, I proceeded to sew in the machine, placing the strip on one side, in order to have the front part assembled.
On the back I made some clips and placed the zipper. This zipper is made of plastic teeth and it is also an invisible zipper, which means that when I glue the zipper, it is not noticeable because it is sewn tightly in the teeth part.
Al tener todo bien prensado procedo a coser en la maquina, colocando la franja de un lado, para poder tener armada la parte del frente.
En la parte trasera le hice unas pinzas, y coloque le cierre. Este cierre son de dientes plástico también es cierre invisible, que quiere decir que al pegar el cierre, no se nota ya que va cosido bien ajustado en la parte de los dientes.
After making all these parts, one the front and back part, in order to place the waistband, which is 3cm high, making its buttonhole and gluing a button. Culminating with its hem.
Después de hacer todas estas partes, uno la parte del frente y trasera, para poder colocar la pretina que es de 3cm de alto, haciendo su ojal y pegando un botón. Culminando con su ruedo.

Asi quedo terminada esta bella falda en color azul rey, para salir a reuniones, una cena, una fiesta, en fin quedo como a ella le gusta, ya lista para su uso. Mi amiga quedo muy agradecida ya que la falda le quedo muy bien adaptada para su cuerpo.
