Como familia hemos podido tener la dicha de tener diferentes carros a través del tiempo, hemos vivido momentos buenos con ellos y otros no tan buenos.Los carros que hemos tenido nos han servido para ir a trabajar, llevar a los hijos al colegio o universidad cuando estudiaban, para ir al médico, comprar medicamentos, hacer mercado, salir a comer y compartir como familia, para viajar, ir a visitar familiares y amigos, para ir a fiestas, para trasladar cosas a la parcela, materiales del trabajo, llevar a los hijos a clases de música cuando estaban más pequeños, para ir al cine, en fin, para muchísimas cosas, han sido de mucha utilidad.Pero así, como nos han servido para muchas cosas también han generado gastos, de mantenimiento o averías que podían pasarnos, choques, etc.

Así como tuvimos carros buenos, que literalmente le sacamos "la chicha", que casi podía llevarnos al otro lado del planeta, ja, ja, ja, pues también tuvimos carros que nos sacaron "la chicha" a nosotros, y nos succionaron los bolsillo, dejándonos sin dinero, de tanta plata que le metimos y nada que mejorábamos la situación hasta salir de ellos.Tuvimos de esos carro que le llaman: "huesos", que nadie los quiere, por lo malo que son y al venderlos era terrible porque nadie quería comprarlo. El papá de mis hijos, lamentablemente, tenía una puntería para comprar ese tipo de carros, se enamoraba de esos carros que era difícil de conseguir repuestos, y sobre todo mecánico que quisiera acomodarlo cuando se dañaban.

Las buenas experiencias de tener carro también fueron que pude llevar a mis hijos a todos lados que tenían que ir, cuando sus amiguitas cumplían 15 años, pudimos llevarlos a todas esas fiestas, nos propusimos hacer el esfuerzo de comprar carro para no arriesgar a nuestros hijos pequeños andando en transporte público.

Recuerdo una experiencia mala, que no olvidaré y recordarla me da como un susto en el estómago. Un día le acomodaron los frenos al carro, al salir del taller, me fui a buscar a los muchachos al colegio, cuando iba por la autopista intenté apretar freno y el carro no frenaba, empecé a chancletear los frenos para que agarrara la liga de freno, pensé que los mecánicos no lo habían purgado, el hecho es que el carro nada que frenaba, me pasaban carros a los lados, en fuerte velocidad, porque era una autopista, no podía ni mover el carro a la derecha ni izquierda, porque venían otros carros y cuando ya casi le llegó al carro de adelante, el carro logró frenar, pero lamentablemente había botado la liga de frenos o roto algo, de verdad, que no recuerdo. Yo decía para mis adentros: ¿será que me mandaron a matar como en las novelas? ¿Será que alguien quiere comprar mi seguro de vida tipo las películas? Ja, ja, ja, pues a mí se me cruzó cualquier cosa en la cabeza, mientras pasaba eso, me pasó mi vida por la mente, como una película, en cuestiones de segundos, ahora ustedes con su iniciativa me hacen recordar ese momento, que ahora puedo reírme pero hace unos años atrás hasta traumada quedé, después de eso no quería ni manejar.

Logré llegar a la casa, le conté al papá de mis hijos, se encendió como plancha de chino, ja, ja, ja, se vistió, y salió directo al taller a reclamar, era el ayudante o el mecánico que no había colocado un repuesto, el dueño del taller, casi mata con la mirada al mecánico, no sabemos si lo despidieron o no, solo sabemos que el taller nos resolvió la problemática.También acabo de recordar, que yo aprendí a manejar en un Renault, ese carro tenía una falla que siempre se estaba apagando, una vez saliendo de una urbanización que era peligroso ese cruce, se me ha apagado el carro, yo casi lloraba de los nervios, me quedé en todo el medio de la avenida, mi hijo estaba pequeño y me daba animo: mami, tranquila, el carro te va a prender y de verdad que prendía.Sé que tener carro es de gran ayuda para muchas cosas, pero también uno corre peligro, quedándose accidentado en todo el medio o en lugares solos u oscuros, pero gracias a Dios que siempre nos ha protegido, no hemos pasado cosas graves.

Recuerdo el Renault, luego una camionetica muy cómoda Mitsubishi, luego la Santa Fe, un Lexus, un Sonata, ya luego me quedé sin nada, ya desde ahí no he tenido más carro, y creo que es mejor así, ya mis hijos están grandes, tienen sus vidas y yo casi ni salgo, más bien sería un dolor de cabeza, por los gastos, o quedarse accidentado por ahí y pagar por la inseguridad y de paso la gente está manejando como loca, así que mejor, estoy tranquila sin carro.
