The pink fairy armadillo which is also known as the Pichiciego is the smallest of all known armadillos. they have a body length of approximately 90–115 mm and typically weighs about 120 g, it has digging claws on its front legs, silky yellowish white fur,and a dorsal shell that is solely attached to its body by a thin membrane down the midline.
they are excellent diggers, pink fairy armadillo has long claws which it uses for hunting for insects in the earth and digging burrows. They also have the capacity to bury themselves completely in a matter of seconds if threatened.
its diet consists of snails, worms, but ants are their number one choice.
