My two girls were sitting out the back of our house enjoying the sunshine and watch a number of butterflies flying around our garden. They told me the butterflies were dancing, and they were putting on a show just for them.
This gave me an idea for an illustration which I named 'dancing with butterflies'. I started by sketching in the butterflies, then came up with the idea of having bunnies in round skirts spinning below them.
Now to add a splash of colour
I had just download gimp, a free photoshop program on my computer, and I have been using it to add a splash of colour to my illustrations. It was difficult to use at first, and I needed to watch a number of youtube videos to find out how to make it play nice.
I find photo editing is a fun way to experiment with different colours without ruining your original design, and you can create different end results with just one illustration.
