Honesty is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the boss feels very comfortable with honest employees. That's because if I make a mistake and can not set it myself, then I will come to the boss, but not "pretend dead." And most of the mistakes can be fixed quickly, and that will be more profitable than accumulating them where no one controls.
Honesty means that if I find out that someone else has made a mistake, I will insist that we discuss the possibilities of setting with the authorities if we can not do it ourselves.
Honesty means that if my eye drops at strange prices in documents, then I will definitely speak it out (maybe the price consists of bribe to the responsible employee). And, of course, I myself will not create any schemes for enrichment at the expense of the employer in addition to wages.
But on the other hand, honesty is controversial, and I already felt it on my own skin. You can hurt people completely without intending to do it, because they want to be perfect in their eyes and in the eyes of others. Well, and taking into consideration the above in the first part ... the authorities trust honest employees, rely on them and provide career growth. And this causes envy.
These morons can do the same and suddenly become honest people and grow rapidly in the eyes of their superiors, feeling it in their wallet. Simply to understand that the interest of the firm coincides with the interest of employees, but the general atitude in society is still different and workaholism is perceived as stupidity (why for the sake of other people's earnings to work at full strength), honesty is sometimes perceived as a fawning before the authorities. These people still have a class struggle in their heads - an employee with a boss, and an employee with an employer. And this ... should be overcome somehow!
I do not say everyone is like that, I've met many normal colleagues in my life, or at least half normal, but our people differ from foreigners-colleagues very much in this sense. And I suppose that's because of soviet Marxist ideology of classes` strugle, and young people for some reason also adopt this infection.
