It's my life it's now or never - sentencia.

"To see clearly, it is enough to change the direction of the gaze." El Principito

Already the distance is noticeable. They, our warriors, feel it. Cuba is missed. Saudade.

Saudade is a word of difficult definition. It comes from Portuguese and expresses a primary affective feeling, close to melancholy, stimulated by the temporal or spatial distance to something loved and that implies the desire to resolve that distance. (source)

But it is not a sadness in its pure state, it is that mixture of longing tinged with happiness that because it is so complicated to define that it is only understood when it is felt.

-I feel like leaving 🥴 - El White confesses to me. And I know they miss their own, just as I know that calm is sometimes a double-edged sword. During the weekend they have been resting and under those circumstances, where the mind flies at pleasure, it is unfair to try to manage emotions. It's okay to let out what you feel.

-All I do is listen to Bon Jovi. It's my life it's now or never - he says.

And yes, it's now; here and now, the opportunity to seize the opportunity to be in the home of champions.

-There are many people enjoying this trip with me and for me. I had not even imagined it but it makes me more committed. I can't look bad, I've fought so hard and I didn't even think I could make it this far. If this is not a dream come true, then I don't know what is.

Francisco Ronnei Estevez's favorite song is The final countdown. Yes, the anthem that immortalized Europe. A war song, as is now the Bon Jovi song that now accompanies him every step he takes on the reddish Kenyan soil.

That one they have seen in all its fullness from the viewpoint of Iten, located at 2400m above sea level. They have been accompanied by a friend, his wife and young son. The names remain our great debt. It is not easy to communicate. The language has been a barrier but the human being always finds a formula, to orient himself, to know what to do and above all to be grateful.

-In a while there is hard training. I'll tell you about it.
