Buenas tardes amigos de Hive, hace unas semanas fui a la provincia de Cienfuegos, con mi mamá y mi esposo. Fuimos a visitar dos sobrinos y la mas pequeña integrante de la familia , mi sobrina nieta Samely. Realmente soy una persona muy familiar y me gusta estar rodeada de todos ellos.
Bueno uno de los días decidimos salir y dar un paseíto pues hacia mucho no visitaba esta localidad, además para evitar cocinar en casa decidimos ir al Restaurante Covadonga un restaurante muy afamado en Cienfuegos por la deliciosa paella que se oferta.
Good afternoon friends of Hive, a few weeks ago I went to the province of Cienfuegos, with my mom and my husband. We went to visit two nephews and the youngest member of the family, my great-niece Samely. I really am a very familiar person and I like to be surrounded by all of them.
Well, one of the days he had to go out and take a little walk because it had been a long time since he had visited this town, and to avoid cooking at home they needed to go to the Covadonga Restaurant, a very famous restaurant in Cienfuegos for the delicious paella on offer.
El lugar es muy bonito ya que es muy ventilado, se encuentra justo al lado del mar, en Punta Gorda, junto al Malecón Cienfueguero. Por supuesto pedimos la Paella, que es el plato de la casa y no por gusto lo es, fue espectacular. Además lo mas bonito del lugar, incluyendo la comida, es la vista realmente fantástica que hay del mar.
The place is very nice since it is very ventilated, it is located right next to the sea, in Punta Gorda, next to the Malecón Cienfueguero. Of course we ordered the Paella, which is the house dish and not by choice, it was spectacular. Also the most beautiful thing about the place, including the food, is the really fantastic view of the sea.
Al salir del restaurante comenzamos a observar el lugar y es cuando me percato que su ubicación es justo en frente del Hotel Castillo del Jagua.

Uno de los Hoteles mas bonitos y tradicionales de Cienfuegos perteneciente a la cadena hotelera Meliá, realmente es un lugar muy bonito. No pude resistir retratarme con el castillo de fondo, que hermosa arquitectura.

Entre el Hotel y el restaurante hay una enorme fuente circular muy llamativa, en el centro posee una estatua de a India Guanaroca , protagonista de una de las leyenda aborígenes de la localidad. realizada por la escultora Rita Longa. Muy preciosa la vista la fuente , el mar y el cielo parecen unirse.
Decidimos adentrarnos en la ciudad y bordemos en malecón cienfueguero muy bonito por cierto y tan limpio como sus calles, es algo que nosotros los Habaneros envidiamos un poquito, quisiéramos que esa limpieza también reinara en nuestra ciudad.
Between the Hotel and the restaurant there is a huge circular fountain that is very striking, in the center it has a statue of India Guanaroca, the protagonist of one of the aboriginal legends of the town. made by the sculptress Rita Longa. The view of the fountain is very beautiful, the sea and the sky seem to come together.
We decided to enter the city and border the Cienfuegos boardwalk, which is very beautiful indeed and as clean as its streets, it is something that we Habaneros envy a little, we would like that cleanliness to also reign in our city.
Si se fijaron mi mamá y mi sobrina nieta no dejaron de salir en las fotos jjj como les gusta . Bueno ya en el Prado lugar recurrente para todo el que visita Cienfuegos, porque atraviesa toda la ciudad y una peculiaridad de esta ciudad es que las calles son muy rectas, las manzanas (como decimos aquí en Cuba) son cuadrados perfectos.
If you noticed my mom and my great-niece did not stop appearing in the photos lol as they like. Well, in the Prado, a recurring place for everyone who visits Cienfuegos, because it crosses the entire city and a peculiarity of this city is that the streets are very straight, the blocks (as we say here in Cuba) are perfect squares.
Caminando por el Prado dimos con una estatua que nos gustó muchísimo e hicimos varias fotos, de nuestro gran músico Benny Moré, el "Bárbaro del ritmo" como cariñosamente lo llamamos todos los cubanos y por supuesto que todos quisimos retratarnos junto a ese grande de la música cubana. Así que aquí les va.
Walking through the Prado we found a statue that we liked very much and we took several photos of our great musician Benny Moré, the "Barbarian of rhythm" as all Cubans affectionately call him and of course we all wanted to have our picture taken with that great of the Cuban music. So here it goes.
Todos los cubanos admiramos su talentosa carrera y nos sentimos muy orgullosos de que sea hijo de nuestra tierra, muy en particular los Cienfuegueros, ya que nació en Santa Isabel de las Lajas un municipio de esta provincia.
Y para terminar el día con mucho sabor cubano, en la tarde después de un descansito nos dirigimos a una Cafetería denominada La Condesa, es un lugar de jóvenes emprendedores que tienen ese negocio particular, cerca del prado, lo mas especial de la oferta que tiene, son las diferentes especialidades del rico café cubano.
And to end the day with a lot of Cuban flavor, in the afternoon after a little break we went to a Cafeteria called La Condesa, it is a place of young entrepreneurs who have that particular business, near the meadow, the most special of the offer that it has , are the different specialties of the rich Cuban coffee.
Ese cafecito invita a cualquiera a deleitarlo , así que si están cerca del Prado Cienfueguero no duden en pasar y degustar , hay mucha variedad de café, fue un fin de paseo con broche de oro.
