This was a mixed day, I did not wander too far, walking all the way from the airport the day before kinda made that the natural choice. But there was still enough to see in the area!
The hotel is both close to tiny streets and the market, but also some of the major, wide roads in Ho Chi Minh. So it was a mix of everything, really!
I should have gotten more done in these alleyways, but everyone are very attentive, not in a nefarious way, but still I'm kinda not expected to pop up there haha!
I'm not sure if this grumpy dog was part of the insurance sales team, or if it belonged to another store, that was probably the case.
In case there was any doubt, any type of drug use is not a smart thing to get involved in here in Vietnam!
I could have spent a week doing these small streets and the markets, maybe that would have made me stick out less?
In this area there are literally no tourists or expats at all, it looked to me that there were even no Asians from other countries too...
A few blocks away I found a rat! I used to collect pictures of flattened, poor frogs and so on, so this was a major find haha...
I did not spend much time portraying it, I could well imagine someone not wanting me to portray Vietnam this way!
One thing that I miss a lot traveling around like this is to work, with materials, heavy and difficult, but useful things...
I've worked a lot with metals, but never this kinda dimension though!
There is no escaping Lenin in Vietnam! Here and there you'll always find something like this, but not in very intrusive ways.
Looks like the local worker having a rest in the middle of the heavy traffic was happy enough, well except for having me with a camera there...
The local steakhouse
I can't eat too much carbohydrates, so I got some beef in the restaurant in the background here. It was a very busy junction, so it was easy to do images like this one.
I was thinking of doing a separate post with pans only, but there is just way too much to sort through... Maybe tomorrow.
In the meantime this one will do! And that's it for today 馃檪
