From the time I was a kid, I have always liked walking the streets in downtown Calgary. There has always been something that drew me; maybe it was wanting to feel like I was in the big city. Maybe it was watching so many movies that took place in different downtowns. Now that I have been doing this as a photographer for close to 2 decades, I still find myself excited about that big city feel; the buildings have really started to rise up and fill in many of the empty spaces. Downtown is easily twice the size or more that it was when I was a child. I never feel like I am done exploring; there is always something new and something old to go and see.
