I played just under my rating in the first round of the tournament today. For the course I was playing I guess that is about average for how I play it. I have a lot of difficulties playing this particular course so I was hesitant to join the tournament but I did have a lot of fun playing today so I'm happy.
Sometimes things don't always go your way. I was off on a lot of throws by just a little bit. Often this had disastrous results like hitting a few inches too low to clear the top of a hill and rolling back down the hill past the tee pad, lol.
One time I stepped up for a very makable putt but just as I released the putter a big wind came up and blew the disc down.
I've had other rounds when I caught a lot of lucky breaks so I guess things tend to average out.
Tomorrow I will be playing a couple of easier courses for the last two rounds of the tournament.
A nice new disc that I got from the tournament:
These discs have such nice custom stamps that I am often wanting to just hold on to them and not throw them. This is a new to me mold that I'm going to be tempted to try out. I think discs are made to be thrown but it is nice to have a new-looking disc with a custom stamp on it.
