Wildlife sighting on the disc golf course:
Way off in the distance we saw this hawk just standing in the middle of the field. My smartphone camera does not have a good enough lens to get a close up but here's a view of the hawk enlarged:
There have been a lot of large birds out by the disc golf course recently. It was unusual to see a hawk standing right in the grass like that though. It could have been finishing a meal or something.
I played a couple of rounds of disc golf this morning with my friend at my favorite course by the river. It was a lot of fun and I had a +3 and a -2 round. The -2 was almost a personal best for the course for me. It felt like I was throwing well and could have scored a few points better if I made a couple of close putts.
I also walked the puppy and mowed the lawn.
It was just a little smoky today but really not too bad.
I'm feeling a bit tired right now so I think I'll turn in soon.
