Oh man, I threw my purple Tern disc into the brambles today. Really deep into a major hedge. Probably very low chance of recovery unless I can find some way of hiking around the hedge to reach the tree it landed near from the back way.
I should not have thrown it into a headwind. It turned and burned and went way out of the fairway. I think I heard about what a terrible mistake I made enough to want to repo my Destroyer disc from someone, LOL.
Oh well, my government check came in today and there is plenty of stuff in the stores around here. I guess I'll console myself by purchasing some new plastic. I'm thinking of getting a couple of Tern discs this time because my track record with them is not exactly the greatest.
Maybe a max weight Tern in Champion plastic and another Pro plastic one in 170 grams. The one I lost was getting a little flippy so perhaps I should count my blessings. The Pro plastic beats in and gets really understable fast but I do like the way it feels in the hand and glides.
I might pick up another understable Mamba disc too. (My friend lost mine in the river after I sold it to him.) I've been thinking about trying a more stable version of this disc, they are pretty fun to throw but you can't throw them too hard.
Besides disc golf I ended up taking a short e-bike ride to the store to pick up a few groceries.
