I rode my ebike around twenty six miles today to play disc golf at a local course. It was a lot of fun and I ended up with a few steps to show for it.
I also found three disc golf discs as I was looking around for my Tern disc after a few of my drives. I'm still not controlling the Tern disc as well as I would like and although it is going the distance it is also not always landing where I want it.
Spending a lot of time looking for it resulted in a new record in the number of other people's discs I found though. I did manage to always find my Tern disc too, so that was nice.
One of the discs I returned to the owner after contacting them. One of the discs I'm holding on to because the owner lives pretty far away and does not get down to the course much. They said I could keep the disc. I might be able to play the course near them someday and return it but it is too far to ride my bike.
One of the other discs I found I let another guy I met on the course have because he really wanted it and found my Tern disc for me one time. There was a number on it too so I hope he does contact the owner.
One of the natural looking flowering bushes growing wild on the side of the creek near tee seven on the course:
Here's a wide angle view of the flowers with a small bridge in the background:
My drive off the tee landed right where I took this picture from. You can see the basket on the slope just up ahead. If you miss the basket sometimes the disc rolls down the hill. Lucky for me I made the putt from here and sank it in.
Looking up at the basket surrounded by trees:
Here's the view back towards the tee pad from the same spot:
The corn, barn and the sky were looking nice as I was riding down to the disc golf course:
It felt pretty nice to be out playing disc golf today. The weather was really pleasent and a good tempurature. I ended up getting a bit of a sunburn on my face, so tomorrow if it is sunny again I might stay inside more.
