My friend and I played the harder eighteen basket course in town today. We were just having fun and didn't keep score. He was throwing pretty well. He said that his throws were better because he was not trying to put as much power on them.
I find that a lot of the time my throws go badly if I try to put too much power on them too. As your technique improves you can throw farther with less power. It becomes more important to disc down to a driver that won't go as far on shorter throws that require more accuracy.
Anytime I can play a difficult course without looking for a disc for a long time or getting one stuck up in a tree, I'm happy. Generally that doesn't happen to me as much anymore, so that is a plus.
Here's a few pictures from our last camping trip. This first one is of a native berry that looks a lot like a raspberry but tastes different. I like them a lot and this one got eaten after posing for the camera.
Some strange looking spindly moss was hanging down around the forest:
By the rivers edge there were some puddles with water skippers in them. I used to love to watch these bugs when I was a kid. I still do.
I tried to get a better close up picture of one of them but they got a bit spooked and ran all over the puddle and hide in the corners.
I also rode my ebike for a short distance and did a few things around the house.
It is starting to feel a lot like fall and the apples are almost ripe now on the trees and some have ripened already. My friend gave me some nice applesauce that he made from the apples that fell off of his tree. The fresh apples around here are really good.
Have a nice weekend everyone, I hope you are doing fine.
