Happy Hump Day, Steemians!
Tempera anything is good but my favorite is the kabocha (Japanese pumpkin). That is, since my allergic reaction to shrimp has become unbearable. Anyway, at Marukame Udon, these are side orders. The egg in the broth makes it richer but I can also do without it. Udon is a fat, dense, somewhat chewy noodle.
This mediocre cellphone photo is by me in Honolulu.
Before coming to this restaurant I had an indication that I would like it since the line of Japanese tourists would always be out the door. Prices are really reasonable and the food is served cafeteria style. When going to Waikiki one must consider the parking challenges so we usually go to the location in downtown but you see more homeless there, unfortunately.
The sky broke like an egg into full sunset and the water caught fire.
