Something has been slowly shifting within me lately I鈥檓 not sure when it began but I鈥檝e started to realize that life doesn鈥檛 always have to be viewed through the lens of its hardships. There are many things I have yet to achieve, dreams that remain far from reality, and hopes that, to this day, have yet to find a path toward fulfillment. But this time, I want to try looking at everything from a different perspective. I no longer wish to exhaust my energy dwelling on what I have yet to attain; instead, I want to begin valuing what I am still capable of striving for.

In the past, I too often felt left behind. Seeing others forge so far ahead sometimes made me question my own life鈥檚 journey. Why did it seem so easy for them to get what they wanted, while I had to struggle through so much much of which remains unseen by others? There were times when I felt I had tried hard enough, yet the results never quite matched the effort, time, and mental energy I had invested. There were even moments when my spirit nearly withered from waiting so long for things that simply refused to change.

But now, I have come to understand one crucial truth: life is not a race that requires everyone to reach the finish line at the same time. Every human being has their own unique journey, set of challenges, opportunities, and timing. It is unfair to measure my own success against the achievements of others鈥攂ecause I can never truly know what they endured to reach where they are today, just as others cannot always fathom the long, arduous path I am currently journey.

I want to stop being someone who is too hard on herself. I want to learn to give myself the space to grow鈥攅ven if it happens slowly. If today I only manage to complete one small task, I will value that. If I haven鈥檛 reached the targets I set for myself, I won鈥檛 immediately label myself a failure. Instead, I will try to understand what was missing, improve what needs fixing, and keep moving forward, taking the next step.

Today, I鈥檝e come to realize that having spirit doesn鈥檛 always mean feeling strong; sometimes, it鈥檚 shown when someone is still willing to try, even after their heart has been broken or disappointed. To me, spirit is the courage to get back up after exhausting days鈥攊t is the ability to hold onto hope, even when reality isn鈥檛 yet on our side.

I have firmly decided to stop using the past as an excuse to fear the future. Whatever has happened is simply part of the life journey that has shaped who I am today. I cannot change past decisions, I cannot relive missed opportunities, and I cannot force everyone to understand my struggles. Yet, I still possess something far more valuable: the chance to decide how I will live tomorrow in a better, more meaningful way.

From now on, I want to be more optimistic not the kind of optimism that relies solely on wishful thinking, but an optimism built through concrete action. I want to be bolder in making plans, more disciplined in my work, and more consistent in staying committed to the goals I have set. I do not want to be someone who is merely skilled at imagining a beautiful life while doing nothing to move toward it.

I want to build something that I can one day be proud of. Even if the results are not yet visible, and perhaps few people notice what I am working or even if some consider my steps too small to bring about any significant change that is perfectly fine. I am not trying to prove anything to anyone else; I only want to prove to myself that I am still capable of growing and creating a better life than the one I had before.

I also want to learn to enjoy the process, rather than constantly complaining about the length of the journey. Being too preoccupied with when I will reach my destination often makes me forget to appreciate every step along the way. Yet, there are many valuable lessons that can only be discovered when one is willing to go through the process itself. Patience grows from waiting, maturity is born from failure, and courage emerges once a person has successfully faced their fears.

Perhaps I have been too busy looking for signs that my life would change, forgetting that such change could actually begin with me. I do not need to wait for circumstances to be perfect before starting something. I do not need to wait for everyone鈥檚 support to take the first step, nor do I need to wait until I am completely confident to attempt the things I have previously only dared to imagine.

Starting today, I want to make more room for hope. I want to wake up each morning with the thought that there is still something that can be improved, an opportunity worth striving for, and positive possibilities I have yet to encounter. I want to stop viewing difficult days as proof that my life will never get better because a single bad day cannot determine the course of my entire future.

If, one day, I succeed in reaching the life I have always dreamed of, I simply want to look back on these times when everything felt so difficult not to dwell in sadness, but to remember that I was once someone who did not give up, even when the path ahead was not yet clear.
