JOULESTEEM Charging Experiments: Adding DC Voltage Augmentation - Post #53

It is high time that we start to add some sort of “source DC voltage augmentation” to the JOULESTEEM circuit, the matter of fact source battery swapping is but an activity that may take forever if we really wanna see the source battery depleting. Make no mistake about this, as far as this latest experiment is concerned, there is no way that I will be able to fully drain the source battery if I keep on swapping both groups of batteries as discussed.

We need to go to another aspect of this approach, and that is to add some DC augmentation voltage at the source battery end. In every properly designed System, a backup route is always present, and while we have already established a backup battery, what if we add another backup DC voltage source, say the DC voltage from the grid, or the DC voltage from solar panels.

Take a look at this circuit diagram for this latest addition to the JOULESTEEM circuit:

Some advantages to this augmentation voltage will be:

  1. The source battery as assigned does not need swapping anymore; this means lesser hassles

  2. More options for every user; no matter how you present best scenarios, people just have their own BEST in accordance to their point of views

  3. You approach a new technology in steps, not in an abrupt fashion; city dwellers can readily deploy the low-power JOULESTEEM circuit even if they still have their grids and their solar panels

A backup of the backup, would it not be a good idea?

Stay tuned for the firsthand observations once the circuit as laid out above be experimented upon.
