When I was younger, there used to be period where people used to get all sort of phone scams, you would have people call up saying there has been an accident from your husband or wife or that your son has been knapped and require you to transfer money. People were pretty cautious during that time.

This one afternoon we got a similar call which my mum took that seems a bit specious and below is the conversation between my mum and the caller.

Caller: "Hello, is this Sandy?"
Mum: "Yes, Sandy speaking."

Caller: "Your mum fell over."
Mum: "Sorry?"

Caller: "Your mum fell over."
Mum: "My mum fell over?"

Caller: "Yes, your mum fell over."

At this point my mum was confused but and the phone call sounded like a scam as well, so she started to get pretty annoyed.

Mum: "Hey! Is it my mum fell over or YOUR grandma fell over!"

Caller: "No really, your mum fell, I'm a taxi driver outside your house."

My mother, stood up to have a look, and indeed there was a taxi outside the house.

Turns out, my grandma did fall over, and apparently some people helped her into a cab and grandma told the cap driver to take her to our house so my mum could take her to the hospital.

Grandma ended up needing a hip replacement, but she has since recovered and running around as she used to.
