Late Christmas post..
As some of you might no from my previous posts, last week I was cooking up a storm and getting over excited about my Christmas dinner! (typical of me hehe)
Well Christmas has come and passed and I am glad to report that all was well in the end. After 8 hours of slow cooking and countless hours of preparation my stuffed cabbage rolls turned out better then expected! I have promised to keep you up to date on my whole menu, but turns out that, as usual, I overprepared for it and overbought the ingredients. I always seem to forget that I am in the US and I haven’t got as many family and friends like back home, in fact close to none..Since it turned out that I have prepared waaayy to many Sarmale aka cabbage rolls, ( to be more exact 68 of them, not counting the smoked hocks that were added to the pot) I have decided that it would be wise to postpone the rest of the menu for New Years Eve ( somebody might say I told you so!). Until then and ONLY if we can manage to conquer them all this is my main and only dish ! All in all we had a nice quiet cozy Christmas day, just fit for overindulging in delicious food and spending some quality time!
Well that’s it for now and that was my Christmas Day & dinner! I have kept my promise and this is the result..better late then never..hehe
