I previously shared a story with you about trading an "iPhone Duo." Well, yesterday, I had another trading adventure.
On Sunday evening, while sitting at a café with a friend, I received an order for an "iPhone Duo." I live in Istanbul, and I happened to have a pre-order for one—ready and waiting—in Athens.
Once the order came in on Sunday night, I collected a deposit. By 10:00 PM, I decided to head to Athens on Monday and promptly booked my flight.
I caught an 8:00 AM flight to Athens on Monday. It was my first time there, and I hadn’t done any research on the city. I went straight to the store, picked up the iPhone Duo, and spent some time exploring the city.
I had a return flight to Istanbul at 3:30 PM, and I arrived back in the evening. I then handed the phone over to its new owner.
For this iPhone Duo (512GB), I paid 2,649 Euros.
My total expenses were:
Flight: 200 Euros
Food: 10 Euros
Local transport: 25 Euros
Other costs: 10 Euros
Total cost: 2,895 Euros
I sold the device for 2,945 Euros.
Profit: 50 Euros
On top of that, I’ll be getting a 340-Euro tax refund. That brings my total net profit to 390 Euros.
In just one day, I managed to explore Athens and earn 390 Euros.
What do you think—was it worth it?
