Another day was over at work, and now time to clean my working table before I left. Of all of us in the office, I was one of those who always had a messy table. I am not proud of it, though.
Usually, I choose to take a walk going home in our dorm, yet this time I am with them (officemates). We agreed to pass by at the night market in the Greenfield district but specific to food kiosks only. It was only ten to fifteen minutes away.
While on our way, a typical scenario during rush hours, traffic jams, and the number of passengers along the road.
We took the shortcut route to avoid vehicles for our safety and health purposes.
This is what I like in this area; there are still a lot of trees. Many thanks to the local government for letting these trees grow rather than cutting them.
Few more walk near the Greenfield district; I noticed this big old Balete (rubber tree) tree near the bank. One look, no doubt it somehow lives for years. See that roots? I can't help but think that if these is in the province, no one would like to pass by at night. You might wonder, but in Filipino folklore, this is the usual " HOME" of supernatural beings.
Apology if it was not that clear. It is just some people are looking at me weirdly. Maybe they are wondering why I kept on taking photos.
At last, we arrived at our destination!
It was still early, so there were only a few people around. The place was open space ideally due to Covid. Though I am not sure, I think this night market only started after the Lockdown as it is much safer to dine in an area like this.
Since I was a little bit hungry from walking, I decided to explore the food kiosk. I was looking for the best food to satisfy my tummy.
The organizer of this was amazing as the kiosks were not that typical tent. Instead, all are personalized vehicles. It was also convenient for all the participants. After the event, they will only drive home.
A lot of choices, and I find it hard to decide what to buy. After walking back to the fort, I settled on cheesy macarons and fruit salad juice.
Supposed I will buy some beers, but I am hesitant as it's been years since I haven't tasted a bottle. Plus, we will be walking going home, so I dare not. I don't want to sew the road.
Yet, their kiosk was so appealing to my eyes. Coffee and Beers! Both are hard to resist!
We started eating while having some chit chats while listening to music played. While enjoying my food, I saw this kiosk selling yummy egg sandwiches. One of my companions bought one, and it looks so delicious. I was about to stand up to place my order, but I remembered I had already had some chickens during lunch! Oh, hard passed for now.
Time runs fast when you enjoy yourself; we noticed it was already twilight after a while. Almost all the chairs were now occupied. We all decided to go home to give a chance to others since we've been here for hours. Aside from that, Covid cases here in my country are starting to rise, so it would be better to avoid crowded places.
On our way home, the road was already clear, and only a few vehicles were left. The temperature was also cooler as the wind blew softy.
Yet I was taken aback when a kid approached me. I thought he was the same as usual kids that would ask for some penny. Yet I was surprised when he offered the Sampaguita necklace he was selling. Only one piece was left. " Ate ( how kids address females older than them here in my country), please buy this last one so that I can go home". Hearing that word, I didn't hesitate to give him some money. I told him to keep the flower or sell it to others. However, he kept on insisting that I should take it. What a kid, he may be young, but he already shows that attitude.
To end our silly argument, I took it and bid goodbye.

After almost 45 minutes of walking, we arrived at our dorm safely! That's how my days end. Though I eat carbs, at least I burned some of them.
